Cancellation Policy

From VIPKid's page on Cancellation Guidelines

  • Teachers are allowed 6 cancellations over the duration of the contract and are subject to termination on the 7th.
    • 3 cancelled classes within one calendar day (ex. 5:00pm, 6:30pm, and 9:00pm classes) count as one cancellation on your participation record.
    • No more than 2 cancellations shall be recorded on one calendar day. Deductions for every class cancellation and no show is still recorded.
    • For example: Teacher Kevin does not attend 8 classes and does not inform the Firemen before class. Only 2 cancellations are recorded. He has $80 deducted from his payment. All times are calculated in Beijing time.
    • TEACHER NO SHOW - teacher does not attend class or is late for class and does not inform Firemen or Education before scheduled class time; $10 deduction from monthly participation incentive
    • TEACHER NO SHOW_2H - teacher does not attend class, but informs Firemen less than 2 hours before scheduled class time; $10 deduction from monthly participation incentive
    • TEACHER CANCELLATION - teacher does not attend class, but informs Firemen or Education more than 24 hours before the scheduled class time; no deduction from monthly participation incentive
    • TEACHER CANCELLATION _24H - teacher does not attend class, but informs Firemen more than 2 hours and less than 24 hours before scheduled class time; $2 deduction from monthly participation incentive
    • All finish types are subject to review by the Education department. We understand and realize that emergencies happen, so we always ask for details surrounding a cancellation in order to determine if a cancellation should be altered or removed from a teacher's participation record and/or not count again a teacher's participation incentive. In this situation, we recommend teachers to take a screenshot and submit a ticket on Freshdesk
